Windows 7 RC1 and Trend Micro OfficeScan 10
Don’t try it. It will install. But it slows the system down. Really, it took me 25 minuts to log in. 10 minuts to just write the password.
I will try to find a workaround and share it. If anyone finds a solution, feel free to leave a commen!

OfficeScan v10.0 build 1068 won’t install at all on Windows 7 (RTM) Professional x64 without giving me this error (below) so I have put a ticket in with Trend Micro’s support.
Information needed to do the installation has not been downloaded by the ActiveX setup controls due to an unexpected reason.
Please contact your OfficeScan administrator for assistance.

Interesting, I will try as soon as possible myself. Please share any results from the support ticket
The version I tried was the beta. I’ll try the RTM for both x64 and 32-bit as soon as I have time.

Well, I think you should wait for SP1 for OfficeScan10, Windows 7 is not officially supported yet.

It will install but you get a driver compatibility error even if you install under local admin rights, at least with Trend 8.0. I like forefront, it works!

hi everybody,
office scan 10.0 work on my win7 RC1.
I’ve created a packaged file from officescan server, (with the packager tool) and run it from Win7.
The Win 7 client is visible on the server, updated, and the realtimescan works.
My only problem is that i can’t launch myself a manual scan, because the “Scan” button is gray.
If you have a soluce, i’m interested.
Regards.

jay: Double check that you have enabled the option in the Trend Micro console, its under privileges and other settings. Other than that I cant think of anything right now.
